Our native Satin Bowerbird (Ptilonorhynchus violaceus) creates a bower in bushland to attract attention. They decorate them with all sorts of things! These odds and ends may include feathers from parrots, flowers, seed-pods and fruits, butterfly wings and artificial items such as ball-point pens, matchboxes, string, marbles and pieces of glass.
Can you make a bower? Pick a colour (Satin Bowers always choose blue but we chose red), collect items of that colour and get creating!
