When: Every fourth Thursday of the month.
Time: 9am to 12pm.
Meeting location: Various locations along River Road.
This Bushcare Group works along River Road on the banks of the Nepean River to protect and restore the important vegetation.
Since starting in May 2022, the Group has been working hard to reduce woody weeds, remove smothering vines, and revegetate with native plants, to help stabilise the riverbank and preserve the river’s natural beauty for future generations.
Their targeted weeding includes species such as lantana, castor oil plant, wild tobacco, ballon vine, madeira vine and turkey rhubarb.
It is home to a pair of local resident bare-nose wombats, sun-basking water dragons and many curious kookaburras.
