Kanangra Reserve Bushcare

Kanangra Reserve Bushcare

kanangra reserve 1 kanangra reserve 2

When: Every first Sunday of the month.

Time: 800am to 12pm.

Meeting location: Corner of Glebe Place and Parker Street, Kingswood.

This site is located in Kingswood and is one of our Cumberland Shale Plains Woodland reserves. The reserve is home to mature grey box (Eucalypus molucanna) trees and the threatened native pear (Marsdenia viridiflora subsp. Viridiflora). It is also thriving with native grasses like threeawn speargrass (Aristida vagans) and kangaroo grass (Themeda triandra), along with small native flowers like the dwarf blue trumpet (Brunoniella pumilio). With your help, we can protect and restore this beautiful woodland by removing invasive weeds and giving our native plants the space they need to thrive.

Tasks include removal of mother of millions, African lovegrass, bridal creeper and woody weeds.

It is home to the blue-tongued lizard, cockatoos and the crested pigeon.

If you’d like to volunteer, please reach out to our Bushcare team via the volunteering form!
