When: Every third Friday of the month.

Time: 9am to 12pm.

Meeting location: Northern end of Kadiera Close, Wallacia.

This site is in Wallacia and has the lovely Jerrys Creek flowing through it.

We are improving habitat for our water-loving animals, like the platypus, by: planting native sedges along the bank. These will grow and stabilise the bank as well as create protection and habitat. Platypuses burrow into banks of a creek but also like protection and coverage, so these will give them that!

doing woody weed removal along sections of the creek to allow native species to regenerate.

maintaining older plantings to expand the bushland footprint.

doing Streamwatch where we monitor the water health.

general site care, such as litter collection, hand weeding and erosion control.

It is home to powerful owls, kangaroos and wallabies, so conservation work here is helping our wildlife!
