When: Every second Saturday of the month.

Time: 8am to 12pm.

Meeting location: Litton Street, opposite Dempsey Street, Emu Heights.

This site is located in Emu Heights, and it gently wraps around a natural drainage line. Once degraded by extensive land clearing, it began a journey of renewal in the 1970s through mass planting efforts. Over time, volunteers have helped restore much of the area's original bushland beauty.

Tasks include removal of woody weeds, with particular attention to invasive vines and climbers that threaten native vegetation.

It is home to the peron's tree frog and the satin bowerbird. It has also been graced by sightings of the elusive powerful owl and the rare, traveling koala, which likes the grey gums (Eucalyptus punctata) on this site.

If you’d like to volunteer, please reach out to our Bushcare team via the volunteering form!
