Write Out West Festival: Writing with Voice and Style with Felicity Castagna
Teens and young adults will learn how to write in different forms and learn how to create their own style and voice in this great writing workshop.
This workshop will look at how to write in many different forms with your own unique style and voice. Students will learn how to choose words, sentences and images that will make their writing stand out from the crowd.
The workshop is best suited for 16-25 year olds. Tea, coffee and light refreshments provided. Tickets cost $10 per participant. Bookings are essential.
About Felicity Castagna
Felicity Castagna has published four novels for adults and young adults including her most recent book, “Girls In Boys’ Cars” which recently won the Victorian and Queensland Premier’s Literary Awards was adapted for stage by Priscilla Jackman and is now being adapted to film. Her previous novel, “No More Boats” was a finalist in the 2018 Miles Franklin Literary Awards and her novel “The Incredible Here and Now” received The Prime Minister’s Award as well as The IBBY.
She is currently a Senior lecturer in Creative Writing at Western Sydney University where she is the Convenor of Creative Writing.
