Come along to the Mayoral Charity Ball 2023! This black tie event will raise funds for The Haven – Nepean Women’s Shelter.
The inaugural Mayoral Charity Ball will be held in Penrith on Friday, 5 May, 2023.
Imagined by Penrith Mayor Tricia Hitchen, the Mayoral Charity Ball will be a black-tie event that will fundraise for a local charity.
The night’s MC will be entertainer David Campbell OAM and the event will include a three-course meal, beverages, speeches, a silent auction, Illusionist show by Jack Daniels and other roaming and stage entertainment.
The chosen charity for 2023 is The Haven – Nepean Women’s Shelter, which provides emergency shelter and support for local women and their children who are escaping domestic violence situations.
From October 2021 to September 2022, there were 1,131 reported incidents of domestic violence* in the Penrith Local Government Area (LGA). This is one of the highest figures across NSW and highlights a real need in our community.
The Mayoral Charity Ball will be held at the Evan Theatre in Panthers Penrith and all funds raised through ticket sales, a silent auction during the event, and other donations, will be given to The Haven to help make a difference and empower women in our community.
