We all want to keep our community safe during natural disasters such as fires and floods. Join us for a series of activities in Londonderry on Saturday 25 May 2024 to help you prepare for emergencies by making a plan for you and your loved ones.
Guided Bushwalk
Bring your family to a guided bushwalk with Koori Kinnections at Rickabys Creek Reserve!
Free activities include:
- Guided bushwalk
- Learn about First Nations flood and fire management and native bush foods
- Q&A yarning session and morning tea
- Activities for the kids
- Native plant giveaway
Time: 9am to 11am
Location: Rickabys Creek Reserve, Londonderry. Turn off Londonderry Road onto Studley Street, at the end of Studley Street turn right and meet at the end of the cul-de-sac.

Emergency Services Expo
Join Council and emergency services personnel to gain information and support to make a personal safety plan for you and your loved ones.
Free activities include:
- Lunch and live music
- Activities for the kids
- Information and resources – like our FREE emergency go bags
- Support to prepare a personal safety plan
Time: 11am to 1pm
Location: Londonderry Neighbourhood Centre, 358 - 360 Carrington Road, Londonderry.
No registration is required for the expo.
