Breakfast with the Birds at Mountain View Reserve -- BOOKED OUT

We’re learning about the birds who call Mountain View Reserve home with a guided walk and talk.

As of Tuesday 11 June, this event has booked out. You're welcome to join our waitlist.

Our Bushcare team is excited to welcome Mark Fuller from Avianation back for our fourth year of hosting Breakfast with the Birds.

After our bird watching, we’ll be weeding the reserve to help conserve the birds’ natural habitat and to protect the flora from invasive weeds.

What can I expect?

  • You'll be given a picture identification guide which shows the common birds
  • Binoculars will be available for the first 12 people.
  • You’ll be provided with tools, training, and guidance on how to weed. No experience is required!
  • A yummy breakfast, tea and coffee.

What do I need to wear and bring?

  • Wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt, sturdy closed-in shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
  • Bring a bottle of water.
  • A camera to snap pictures of the birds!
  • Binoculars if you have some (but not necessary).

Over the four years, we have identified over 60 different bird species here. Will we add to this, this year?

Spots are limited, so be sure to register your place! The event is open to everyone with and without Bushcare experience. Children must be supervised by an adult.

This event is proudly brought to you by our Bushcare and Natural Systems teams.
