From creative arts to professional development, our workshops cover a wide range of topics, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Penrith City Libraries
Join us riverside at the Real Festival and take part in our bird-themed community craft project—a celebration of creativity and connection inspired by the beautiful native birds of the Nepean River.
Go on a Bird Scavenger Hunt!
Find our six native bird creations and uncover fascinating facts about local bird species in our interactive scavenger hunt. It’s fun for all ages and a great way to learn about the natural world around us. You could even win a prize!
Meet Your Library!
Stop by to discover everything the Library has to offer—from programs and resources to events and services that support lifelong learning and community connection.
Let your imagination take flight with us at REAL Festival 2025!

Make Art with Lewers: Penrith Regional Gallery
Join the team at Lewers: Penrith Regional Gallery and artist Julie Scifo for drop-in artmaking for all ages.
Collaborate on an artwork inspired by our upcoming exhibition 'The Pool Show' — your contribution will be part of a special display at the Gallery. No experience needed, just bring your imagination!

Rangers and animal services
Visit our Rangers and Animal Services team at the Real Festival to learn about responsible pet ownership and how you and your pet can enjoy the best lifestyle while keeping each other — and our community — safe.
The team will be scanning all pets to check their microchip details and lifetime registration status.
Penrith LGA residents can also pick up a free pet tag to help ensure that if their pet gets out, we can return them safely home.
You can also chat with us about reporting pollution, illegal rubbish dumping, overgrown properties, backyard burning, and illegal parking offences — we’re here to help protect our neighbourhoods and keep our community clean and safe.
And don’t forget to stop by our pet adoption booth — you might just find your new best friend!

Community resilience unit
A mural workshop presented by Craft and Cuppas and Penrith City Council’s Community Resilience Unit.
Contribute to this community mural by creating a personalised artwork to add to it!
Paint something meaningful to yourself which represents our key words.

Neon mini golf
Short, sweet and seriously fun.
Squeeze in a round between shows or make it your main event. The course is fast-moving, easy to join and hard to walk away from.

Silent disco (Friday and Saturday night only)
Grab a headset, pick your playlist and hit the dance floor!
Perfect for families, friends, or anyone ready to let loose, the silent disco is a fun, high-energy experience where the crowd creates the atmosphere.

First Nations Chalk Art
Join First Nations youth and add to the collaborative chalk art. Learn about what shapes mean and how to draw indigenous symbols.
Guided step by step, you can add your own creativity while respecting and celebrating First Nations traditions. This interactive activity is a hands-on way for all ages to learn, create, and leave your mark on a colourful artwork that grows as the festival unfolds.

Bubble station (Sunday only)
Follow the trail of shimmering bubbles to this joyful play zone!
A colourful space where little ones (and curious adults!) can blow, chase, and pop to their heart’s content. Giant wands, hand bubbles, and endless fun – it’s interactive, energetic, and full of bubbly magic!

Sun safe station by Ripples and Sustainability (Sunday only)
Stay protected while having fun in the sun!
Drop by our Sun Safe Station, chat with our friendly team, and join in on some yard games. Keep cool, stay safe, and enjoy the day outdoors!
