About the Positively Penrith Symposium Series

Join MC Juanita Phillips, with Deputy Mayor of Penrith Councillor Todd Carney, the Member for Londonderry Prue Car MP, and Helen Dalley, to learn more about the transformation of St Marys and the role the City of Penrith will play in the future of Greater Sydney.

St Marys Town Centre is emerging as the next great urban centre, a key strategic hub offering unprecedented opportunities to business, investors, and industry. Its importance as a critical connection between Greater Sydney, and the world, will be elevated by the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport and the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport rail line that will join directly into the T1 Western line at St Marys.

You’ll hear how Council is leading an exciting planning pathway for the future of St Marys Town Centre to leverage this extraordinary potential, including through the new St Marys Structure Plan. The Structure Plan sets a place vision, outcomes, and strategic and spatial directions to help St Marys grow into a vibrant, welcoming, sustainable, and authentic city centre that meets the changing needs of industry and our community.

The Keynote Address by Helen Dalley titled ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles; Makers, Creators and How the Vision Transforms into Benefit’ will explore why Penrith is one of Australia’s most crucial economic centres, and speak to the impacts of the catalytic investments in the region.
