Penrith City Council invites you to enjoy this weekend’s Grand Final from the best seat in the West. Come and cheer Panthers to the win at the free, family friendly live site on the big screen at St Marys.
From 3.30pm on Sunday 2 October at Kokoda Place car park and Coachmans Park in St Marys, fans will be able to grab a seat as they ready themselves for kick off at 7.30pm.
The live site is ticketed to ensure everyone gets the best seat in the house.
There will be food trucks, entertainment, and face painting for the kids at the alcohol-free event. A limited number of chairs will be available but you can bring your camp chairs, picnic blankets and of course your loudest cheers as the Penrith Panthers take on the Eels in the ‘Battle of the West’.
Penrith Mayor Tricia Hitchen said Grand Final fever has well and truly gripped Penrith yet again, and this time it’s the local derby with fierce rivals, the Parramatta Eels.
“The whole Penrith community is once again celebrating the Penrith Panthers making the NRL Grand Final – that is three years in a row,” Cr Hitchen said.
“The team has chance to make it back-to-back premierships, but also write themselves into the history books should then win, making them premiers in all four grades. That has never been achieved in the games 113-year history”.
