Coreen Avenue Intersection Upgrades

At the Ordinary Meeting on Monday 24 August 2026, Penrith City Council resolved to withdraw from delivering the Coreen Avenue Intersection Upgrades project due to a significant funding shortfall, together with rising construction costs and technical and delivery challenges.

Council explored every available option to deliver the project. Despite this work, it was determined that the current project could not be delivered within the available funding and constraints.

Council remains committed to improving road infrastructure in the area and planning completed to date will assist future funding applications.

Council would like to thank everyone who participated in the consultation for this project. Feedback from residents, businesses and landowners helped shape the detailed designs and will continue to inform future planning and projects.
