What is a works in kind agreement?
A works in kind agreement (WIKA) is a voluntary arrangement between a developer and Council. A WIKA requires the developer to undertake works that are included in a contributions plan (or part of the works). Some examples of works delivered in WIKAs include roads, parks, footpaths or drainage.
When a developer is required by a development consent to pay contributions, WIKAs can be used to offset those contributions.
