Job opportunities, reduced travel time, better public transport, greater housing choices close to rail connections, a more accessible city centre and a revitalised surrounding region are the myriad possibilities accompanying Penrith’s new North South rail line.
With a business case underway and construction expected to start in 2021 the new rail line will transform the region, supporting thousands of new jobs, especially in the construction, aviation, agribusiness, manufacturing and technology industries.
Stage One of the rail line proposes stations at the airport, the aerotropolis and an interchange at St Marys.
St Marys will then become the link that connects the airport to the greater Sydney region, opening up a range of development and investment opportunities for commercial, industrial, retail and residential areas.
