Evolve Housing’s mixed development property, Harts Landing at Thornton, recently received the Australian Housing Institute’s Leading Housing Development Project award.
Penrith Council worked closely with Thornton developer, Landcom, when planning the new community to ensure it offered housing diversity, including affordable housing.
The award highlighted Evolve’s success in delivering on that shared vision and creating high-quality social and affordable housing projects.
Harts Landing is a landmark mixed tenure development that brings together the private and community housing sectors. The property consists of 268 apartments, a mix of social, affordable and private, across three, nine-storey buildings that sit above a podium of common areas which all residents can access.
Evolve Housing CEO Lyall Gorman said the project aims to improve the lives of hundreds of people in Western Sydney.
“The [Harts Landing] award will sit proudly among other trophies from ceremonies spanning the housing, design and property development sectors,” Mr Gorman said.
