In a major win for Penrith and Western Sydney, the long-awaited redevelopment of Penrith Stadium has commenced, marking a significant milestone in the region's economic and cultural development.
The construction phase is generating substantial job opportunities, supporting careers in construction and transforming the precinct.
This development is pivotal in enhancing the region's infrastructure and boosting its appeal as a prime location for business and investment. With preliminary works nearing completion, the stage is set for further advancements in the project.
The Penrith Stadium redevelopment, a collaborative effort between Infrastructure NSW, Venues NSW and Penrith Panthers, will deliver a state-of-the-art facility. The stadium precinct is designed to serve as a vibrant multipurpose space for the entire community. These upgrades will provide expansive open spaces for fans during events and increase dedicated areas for cultural, sporting, and recreational activities. Additionally, the project will strengthen pedestrian connections between Penrith Leagues Club and surrounding venues.
As our vibrant City continues to grow, and with the new airport on the horizon in 2026, investing in infrastructure is more important than ever. The redevelopment of Penrith Stadium is more than just a sporting upgrade; it’s a catalyst for new opportunities across our region. From major events to live entertainment, this revitalised space will drive growth in our local economy, boosting accommodation, hospitality, tourism, and more.
Great infrastructure doesn’t just support growth; it brings communities together. It enhances quality of life, strengthens social connections, and fosters a healthier, more inclusive future for all.
