This beautiful park, located along the Nepean River, has been transformed into a vibrant focal point for nature, leisure and recreation, further solidifying Penrith’s reputation as Western Sydney’s most liveable city.

One of the standout features of Regatta Park is the impressive 112-metre pavilion, which includes water play equipment, a sandpit, a fully-fenced adventure playspace, a cricket oval and multi-use lawn space. Additionally, shaded picnic and BBQ areas, outdoor fitness equipment, pathways and a central staircase leading to the river foreshore create an inviting atmosphere for families and individuals alike. The park also boasts over-water viewing platforms and kayak launch areas, providing unique opportunities for recreation on the water. A highlight of the park is 'The Penroglyph', a public artwork designed in collaboration with Darug custodians by Archibald Prize-winning artist Blak Douglas, which adds cultural significance to the space.

Furthermore, hundreds of new trees have been planted throughout the precinct, enhancing natural shade and boosting the green canopy in the Penrith Local Government Area. The historic Police Cottage at Regatta Park has been beautifully restored and transformed into a café and restaurant, offering outdoor seating with breathtaking views of the Nepean River. This addition is set to become a popular spot for both locals and visitors, contributing to the vibrant community atmosphere.

Regatta Park has been jointly delivered by Penrith City Council and the Australian and State Governments. Each government contributed $7.5 million as part of the Western Parkland City Liveability Program.
