Have your say on future plans for St Marys Town Centre

The Draft Master Plan is now on public exhibition.

Penrith City Council recognises the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport rail line presents a unique opportunity to create a positive transport-oriented town centre in St Marys.1

Council’s St Marys 2041 planning pathway is a strategic framework to ensure the social and economic benefits of this major government infrastructure investment are maximised and the growth generated supports broader productivity, liveability and sustainability outcomes for current and future residents, workers, businesses and visitors to St Marys and the wider region.

The next step in the planning pathway is the draft St Marys Town Centre Master Plan. It maps out key moves to revitalise the Town Centre and pave the way for future commercial, residential, tourism, and educational opportunities.

A new central park is a key component of the draft Master Plan to create a green civic heart which attracts people into the Town Centre for events, recreation, and to socialise. Council has developed a design concept including an entertainment area, new children’s playspace, lawn area, pathways, lighting, and more.

Council is inviting feedback on the draft St Marys Town Centre Master Plan and central park design concept until Saturday 30 November 2024.
