The Boosting Business Innovation Program (BBIP) is back. The program is designed to connect NSW-based small and medium businesses (SMEs) with research organisations to fast-track idea development and accelerate the rate of innovation.
The objective of the BBIP, funded by the NSW Government, is to support productivity improvement and business growth through the translation of knowledge and inventions to new products and services.
The program targets three main outcomes:
• Increase collaboration between researchers in publicly funded research organisations and SMEs through funding support for activities that build connections.
• Develop innovation and entrepreneurship skills and capacity for knowledge translation for business-owners, SME employees, as well as researchers, university staff, and students.
• Support commercialisation processes for university research and innovative SMEs.
A total of $11 million in funding has been allocated to boost innovation and improve productivity across NSW over the next four years. For the full list of delivery partners and to learn more, visit the Investment NSW website.
