Penrith City Council owns properties and buildings throughout the Penrith Local Government Area (LGA). Those that are licensed and leased to commercial businesses and community organisations are managed by the Property Investment. This team oversees property maintenance and repairs, provides support to our commercial tenants, manages key handling, and the resolution of new lease and licence agreements. 

The Property Investment are also responsible for ensuring all properties are safe and compliant. This includes coordination of asbestos management plans, evacuation plans, warden training and annual fire safety statements for applicable buildings.

Any properties that are available for lease will be publicly advertised by a Real Estate Agent or via an Expression of Interest process advertised on Council's website. The public may apply by contacting the Real Estate Agency through their website or contact details. Alternatively, you may email our Property Investment on to be directed to the Property Manager, or submit a request via the Customer Self-Service Portal.

The Council-owned property at 118–120 Henry Street, Penrith (situated on the corner of Henry Street and Gaymark Lane), is a prominent 1960’s brick building, in the heart of Penrith CBD.

The 1,008m² site will undertake refurbishment works to ensure the building is functional, and ready for new occupancy.

Council has engaged a qualified contractor to undertake the required works.

While the internal refurbishment takes place, there will be no impact to Allen Place car parking spaces as the contractors will utilise the vacant site at 114 Henry Street for vehicle parking and site utilities.

The works will be carried out strictly within permitted construction hours with no interruptions expected to any surrounding tenancies or operations.

Works are currently scheduled to be completed by September 2025. (weather pending)
