Who does this apply to?
Mobile food vending vehicles and temporary food stalls trading at organised events i.e., fetes, markets, large scale events etc.
Requirements
Council requires all temporary food vendors, including food stalls and mobile food vending vehicles to apply for permission before operating at events within our City. Council’s Environmental Health team routinely inspects food businesses at events to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Submit an Application
Vendors wishing to trade at an event must first obtain approval from the event organiser.

Food not prepared at the event?
Food prepared at home requires an Occupation/Compliance Certificate approved by Council to be submitted with the application.
Food prepared at a commercial premises requires a satisfactory health inspection report (issued within the last 12 months) to be submitted with the application.
Approval Process
You will receive an acknowledgement email once your application is submitted through the online portal. After review and approval, an email confirming your approval to trade at the event will be sent.
Inspection at events
Council’s Environmental Health Officers may carry out inspections of food vendors during events. An invoice for the inspection will be issued to the proprietor and sent to their residential address following the event.
